HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT
The pleasant, sweet taste of homeopathic tablets that dissolve on the tongue make the taking of homeopathic medicines surprisingly easy for both children and adults.
Taking Homeopathic Medicines
Homeopathic medicines are available in various forms: as pellets, tablets, liquids, creams and gels. When taking the medicines orally, it is best to avoid eating or drinking for at least 15-20 minutes. For infants, the pellets are best mixed with water. Using a dropper or teaspoon, one can place a few drops of the mixed solution in the child’s mouth. Older children enjoy the sweet taste of the pellets and tablets so they are simple to administer directly on or under the tongue. Sometimes Dr. Grossman will recommend a patient to dissolve the medicine in water. To do so, simply pour the desired amount directly from the vial or bottle into a small amount of clear water. Let the pellets sit for 15- 20 minutes. Stir well ( or shake if you are using a sports bottle of water) and sip till done.
There are some people who think that you must give up coffee to benefit from homeopathy. Others feel that you must avoid mint. This is only necessary in rare cases and we can discuss ways to get around this so that you can enjoy your favorite foods and drinks while benefiting from homeopathic treatment.
Storing Homeopathic Medicines
Homeopathic medicines are best stored away from extreme temperatures and away from strong smelling substances like eucalyptus, camphor, Bengay, Vicks Vapor rub, and tea tree oil.
